Smoltek Hydrogen partners with Impact Coatings to explore volume production potential

This part­ner­ship com­bines Smoltek’s CNF plat­form and low-irid­i­um hydro­gen solu­tions with Impact Coat­ings’ exper­tise in PVD coat­ing sys­tems. The goal is to move from pro­to­types to scal­able, indus­tri­al production—crucial for Smoltek’s com­mer­cial expansion.

The col­lab­o­ra­tion aims to prove man­u­fac­tura­bil­i­ty and rapid­ly estab­lish pro­duc­tion capac­i­ty, poten­tial­ly enabling full-scale elec­trode test­ing by next year and lay­ing the ground­work for a long-term partnership.

• PEM Fuel Cells: Improve per­for­mance by low­er­ing con­tact resis­tance and corrosion. 
• New Appli­ca­tions: Devel­op advanced coat­ings based on CNF for broad­er use.

• Assess inte­gra­tion of CNF tech into exist­ing tools.
• Explore scal­a­bil­i­ty for vol­ume production.
• Test sam­ples with exist­ing cus­tomers to val­i­date mar­ket demand.
